Organized into four sections, Get It Right! is designed to teach writing skills commonly addressed in the standardized testing in the early grades. With Spelling, students recognize testing int he early grades. With Spelling, students recognize correct spelling of frequently used words, basic vowel patterns and blends, and rules appropriate to early grades. With Mechanics, students learn to punctuate and capitalize correctly, alphabetize, and recognize complete sentences. With Usage, student learn subject-verb agreement, tenses, and irregular verbs. And with Proofreading, they practice skills learned in the previous sections. Overall the book includes 100 lessons, plus reviews and skill check. 144 pages with answer keys.
